..THE RULES OF A GENTLEMAN..

THE RULES OF A GENTLEMAN

A gentleman. What is a gentleman? Is he the everyday average guy we see at the supermarket and opens the door for you? Or is he that nice mailman that says “good morning” everyday? Are all men gentlemen? When a show host says “ladies and gentlemen” does that mean that all men present are actual gentlemen? Well, probably, not. There are certain rules a man has to follow to deserve to be called a gentleman. Like gallantry, or what many call chivalry. Chivalry, for example was not a choice back in the middle ages. But nowadays it’s rather hard to find a young man with those same characteristics of noble men from history.

Here are my top 10 favorites of the ‘Rules of a Gentleman’:

I. Kindness goes a long way.

II. The line between confidence and arrogance is very thin.

III. You have two ears and one mouth for a reason.

IV. Opening the door for a lady is not optional, and will never go out of style.

V. Never let a girl think she has a chance when you know she doesn’t.

VI. Saying what’s on your mind is not actually the end of the world.

VII. Wear a belt. It’s called underwear for a reason.

VIII. Chivalry never died; some men just choose to ignore it.

IX. Live without pretending, love without defending, listen without offending.

X. Never let a girl walk home alone.

Those were just a few things that define a gentleman. After all, it’s always about loyalty, nobility, compassion and class.
