Centuries ago Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, canary islands, Algeria and the west part of Egypt were once one kingdom called the Numidia kingdom, lived by Amazigh people (free people) and ruled by queen Numidia an Amazigh queen, Amazigh people had their own language called Tamazight, like all other languages Tamazight has its own letters (tifinagh which means alphabet) and its own words like the word tileli which means freedom or the word tagrawla which means revolution, even the word Amazigh itself means free people or free human, also the names of some countries in Libya have their meanings such as Temzeen which means wheat, Ifran (known now as Yefren) which means caves and Tamuurt (known now as Zwara) which means the land, Numidia kingdom was attacked by other tribes such as Romanians, Germans, French, Greece………………………..…etc.
After Romanians conquered north Africa the Amazigh fought them back liberating all north Africa, when Romanians lost they insulted the Amazigh and gave them the name barbarians meaning uncivilized ferocious creatures, of course Amazigh hate this disrespectful word because they are civilized and peaceful people, Amazigh believed in god before Islam came to them, the word Nafoussa (from Nafoussa mountain) means who belived in god before Islam, later when Islam came to north Africa a lot of Amazigh thought that in order to become a Muslim you have to become an Arab so they became Arabs which is wrong of course because even prophet Muhammad himself said that ( there is no difference between Arabs and non-Arabs except in his/her actions), the word Amazigh appearance was in the 4th century b.c before the appearance of the word Arab in the 2nd century b.c , which means that the Amazigh were known before Arabs, proving that the Amazigh were, are and well be the original people of North Africa.
